Thanks for stopping by to learn a little bit about me! I am a portrait photographer focused on providing my clients with timeless and expressive heirloom quality images and products. I have always been drawn to various creative outlets since I was young, participating in theater, chorus, and creative writing. My fervor for photography, however, began with my high school photography class. The seeming magic that happened when my film transformed from brown strip to developed negatives completely took me hostage, and at graduation I ended up earning the “Aperture Award”. Knowing I could never stray far from the creative arts, I spent my college years studying visual arts & communications as well as musical theater.
Continually honing my craft and education are vital to me. I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to be instructed by some amazing photographers including Carla Ten Eyck, Nichole Van, Tamara Lackey (whom I also mentor with), Sue Bryce and Sal Cincotta. I also have had the opportunity to travel to Seattle to participate in a live-broadcast workshop for photographers with creativeLIVE, a worldwide online creative learning classroom. Additionally, I am a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the largest nonprofit association of photographers in the world, as well as Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
Originally hailing from Western Massachusetts, I now live in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with my British ex-pat husband Martin, my six year old son Adam, and two year old son Connor. When I’m not out capturing timeless moments with my clients you can find me at home with my head stuck in a book (lately dystopian novels are my favorites) or with my eyes glued to any number of cooking shows (and then recreating those dishes!).
