Laconia High School Senior Portraits | Meet Gabby

Meet Gabby! Not only is she is a gorgeous Laconia High School senior and my final 2016 Senior SpokesModel, but she also happens to play lacrosse for the Laconia High Sachems who won the state championship this year. Go Sachems!!! Also, it’s now an unwritten rule that if you play lacrosse in the Lakes Region of NH I *must* photograph you. Gabby also plays soccer, basketball and works at as a hostess at a local restaurant. This girl is busy busy but was nothing but happy at her session!

Gabby heard about my Senior SpokesModel program while working for a friend of mine – Sunday Dearborn at Jump ‘N Joy. As an aside: if you have little kids but haven’t been to Jump ‘N Joy in Laconia make it part of your to do list on a rainy or cold day! Back to the gorgeous Gabby. My assistant Alliyah and I met up with Gabby and her cousin at my makeup artist Carissa’s spa in Meredith and had fun watching her get pampered and styling her outfits for the shoot. Gabby really wanted to tie in the look of the Lakes Region to her session, so once we were done with makeup and hair we headed over to the beach at Governor’s Island in Gilford. We found some great spots to use for her photos and had fun while trying to sneak her session in before the thunderstorms rolled in. Seriously the sky to the side of us was pretty black at the end. We were planning to head into the water for some fun and interesting pictures, but just as we were about to, the lighting started streaking across the sky. That was our cue that the session was done for the afternoon! But Gabby managed to have so many beautiful photos even without stepping into the lake!

What is your favorite memory from high school so far?
My favorite memory has to be winning the Girl’s Lacrosse State Championships this spring for the first time ever!

How do you spend your free time?
I don’t have a lot of free time because I work and play sports, but probably sit and watch Netflix!

Do you have a favorite movie?
I don’t have one. If I had to choose it would probably be the Harry Potter series.

What is your favorite fashion trend at the moment? Is there anything you would never wear?
Hmmm…favorite fashion trend. Maybe high-waisted shorts? And you would NEVER catch me wearing Uggs in summer lol.

What do you plan to study in college? Do you have a school in mind?
I want to go to school for radiation therapy. NHTI has a really good program for that so I might attend their school for two years and then transfer to a university in Boston.

Could she look anymore like Ariel in that last photo?!?!?

Meredith NH Senior Portrait Photographer | Meet Sarah

Belmont High School senior (and 2016 Senior SpokesModel!) Sarah is probably the most positive and happy person you will ever meet. When we met up for her session I swear she just bounced off a bubble. Not only is she an avid athlete playing lacrosse and soccer  (which is a personal favorite in the Hough house), she is also a dedicated student being awarded both National Honor Society and National English Honor Society. And extremely involved in her community doing lots of volunteer work for many organizations.  With all she has going on – that she maintains that positive energetic attitude speaks so much to her character, and I am so glad to have her representing the studio.

Sarah heard about the studio from her friend Natalie – fellow Belmont High School lacrosse player and 2016 Senior SpokesModel. Sarah had suggested that it would be fun if we did her and Natalie’s pictures at the same time and I absolutely agreed. It is so much fun to have a friend with you on your session to make you laugh, assist with outfits, tell you how awesome you look and not to mention – help me with a reflector every now and then. We started out with hair and makeup and then headed down to Meredith to take advantage of the area. It gave us great options for both park and lake and we ended up with some absolutely beautiful photos!

What are you looking forward to in your Senior year?
I’m looking forward to exceeding in my academics and touring colleges to see what the best fit for me will be.

What has been your favorite high school memory so far?
My favorite high school memories would be our junior lip sync of High School Musical and being pronounced the captain of the girls lacrosse team for senior year!

How do you spend your free time?
I love to spend my free times with my friends but I truly enjoy sitting in my bed and watching movies as a quiet and relaxing time. I love running and working out when I can as well.

What band or musician could you listen to on repeat? Favorite movie that you could quote in any situation?
I could listen to Chris Daughtry on repeat! He is amazing and he touched my hand at a concert so that makes his music that much better. And my favorite movies are between Mean Girls and Bridesmaids and I quote them as frequently as humanly possible. (Sarah – I feel I can communicate with you with simply a look).Belmont_NH_Senior_Portraits_8
What do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered for my relentless positivity and optimism!

Belmont_NH_Senior_Portraits_12
Favorite current fashion trend?
My favorite current fashion trends are the sporty look and sun dresses with cute heels. And my favorite item in my closet is my prom dress!

Thank you Sarah for absolutely bringing it to your session and being an awesome Senior SpokesModel. I would just like to say to you and to everyone here, “Gracias para vivar en la casa, en la escuelas, en… en la azul… “markada”. Tienes con “bibir” en las Fortuashla?” and gracias!

Belmont NH Senior Portrait Photographer | Meet Natalie

It’s here people! Senior portrait season is underway and I couldn’t be happier! High school seniors and children are my absolute favorite types of imagery and I can’t wait to download the photos we’ve made once I get home from a session. I am so excited it’s here – between now and Thanksgiving is like my own little Christmas – I love it!

Meet Natalie – Belmont High School class of 2016 AND one of my outstanding Senior SpokesModels. I was so happy to get her application and find out that not only is she an avid lacrosse player, but she loves photography AND she’s traveled to some of my favorite places (cough*Scotland*cough). She loved the idea of a lake and park-like setting for her photos so after hair and makeup we headed to Meredith and had a great time getting some amazing images.

What are you looking forward to during your senior year?
I am looking forward to playing volleyball/lacrosse, and being super involved.

I plan to study Psychology, either criminal or industrial! For college I’ve been looking at places like Springfield, random places in California, and some places in Boston (everywhere).

One is Fun | Laconia NH Family Photos

So I had a fun date last week. This handsome man and I decided to celebrate his big year by strolling along the boardwalk, watching the Mount Washington depart and taking in the beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee. He was a perfect gentleman. And Mom, Dad, brother and sister were there to chaperone in case he got out of hand. More to come, but for now this face…
