Meya’s Lakes Region, New Hampshire Senior Photo Session

Meet Meya! She heard about me through her friend, and 2016 Senior SpokesModel, Gabby. She reached out to me and I knew from her laid back personality we were going to have a blast and really make some great pictures. Meya wanted the complete senior photography experience, AND she was already familiar with my awesome makeup artist, Carissa, so we made sure to meet up at Carissa’s spa for some gorgeous makeup and hair perfecting before heading out for her photos. Meya is an awesome athlete and LOVES the outdoors so we headed up at her family’s lake house.

So what did I learn about Meya – besides the fact that she is a stunning model? This girl is a dedicated lacrosse and basketball player that has an awesomely eclectic music taste – or as she told me, “You can’t compare Bon Jovi with Beyonce it just doesn’t work!”. Truer words have never been spoken – but could you imagine how epic that pairing would be at the next MTV Music awards?!?!? Someone needs to get to work on that. And lastly that this girl is a dedicated, hard worker with goals…one day you’re going to call her Dr. Meya (PhD). I’m so glad we took the time to have fun and play before the hardcore studying and future planning starts. Check out some more about Meya and see some of our favorite photos from her session!

What are you looking forward to in your Senior year?
This year I am mostly looking forward to start my own path and create the life I have always wanted for myself.

How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time playing lacrosse and hanging out with friends, while of course getting my school work done.Laconia_High_School_Senior_Photos_5

College you plan to attend? Do you have any plans on what you think you’ll study?
Right now there are too many options to even narrow down! But one of my favorite schools so far is University Of New England. I’m planning to study Physical Therapy and work my way towards a doctorate degree.Laconia_High_School_Senior_Photos_3

What is special about your high school?
My high school is special because there is something for everyone to be apart of and  you can feel just as welcome on a sports team as you are in book club.Laconia_High_School_Senior_Photos_1

What’s your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is from Dr seuss and is “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”  This is because it was always the mindset I have had.Laconia_High_School_Senior_Photos_6

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I have received is probably to live my life how i want and not what others think I want.Laconia_High_School_Senior_Photos_4

Meya it was such an absolute pleasure to take your photos. I know you are going to do awesome next year – and let me know when you’ve got your doctorate! No doubt by that time I’ll need the skills of a Physical Therapist from all the years of photography!

Gilford NH Senior Portrait Photographer | Meet Kate | Lakes Region Senior Portraits

My, my, my I had so much fun doing Kate’s senior photos! If she looks familiar it’s because you may recognize her as the face of my current SpokesModel marketing! She was a complete dream to photograph, had a great personality, easily got into poses, was friendly and funny (not to mention her friend Rachel!) that it wasn’t work at all. An athlete, dancer and one of the most creative people I’ve met, Kate wanted a more industrial look to her photos so we made use of a unique location that had edginess as well as softness. And because she brought multiple outfits we were easily able to style her and change her into lots of different looks. And the light – oh my gosh that buttery golden delicious light just hit at the perfect time and made her all the more stunning – as if that were possible!

Kate and I grew up near each other so we were already familiar – but I was so happy when she reached out to ask me to do her senior photos. I think I literally jumped at the opportunity. Check out some of the gorgeousness we got:

I. Can’t. Even.

And can I say that I loved that she brought a fancy dress to a shoot – I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING FANCY DRESSES! If you bring a formal dress to our session you WILL be my most favorite person ever.

Kate is headed to Bridgewater State in the fall and I know she is going to do exactly what she puts her mind to. She is just poised for success.

Just a reminder – there’s still time to apply for my 2016 Senior SpokesModel program! Here’s The APPLICATION. I’m accepting a limited number of models so don’t hesitate! Who knows – you could be the face of Carey Hough Photography Seniors next year!!!

Senior Photos with Personality – Amanda

Meet Amanda!

Amanda has to be one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met, with the best sense of humor and just the prettiest eyes! She had personality for DAYS and it really showed in her pictures. We met up in Palmer to do her senior photos and then did some driving all over Western Mass. Amanda was open to any location for her senior portraits, so we decided to hit up some local spots first for a more funky/urban feel and then drive out to Mt. Holyoke College to get a more park/rural look. She really rocked her session, and we may have capped it off with some mini golf fun afterwards!
